Phase 2 - The winners!
In phase 2, the best business plans were selected. In total, 25 teams contested of which 11 belonged to Biotech, 11 to Medtech, 1 to Green Biotech, 1 to Bioinformatics and 1 to Supply and Services.
15 teams came from Austria, 4 from Germany, 2 from the USA, 1 from Hungary, 1 from Poland, 1 from India and 1 from Singapore. (60% Austria, 40% other countries). Of the 15 Austrian teams 9 came from Vienna, 1 from Lower Austria, 1 from Carinthia, 1 from Tyrol, 1 from Salzburg, 1 from Styria and 1 from Upper Austria (67% Vienna, 33% other federal states).
In August 2010, the 10 best teams were preselected. Of those teams, 6 belonged to Red Biotech, 4 to Medtech; 6 originated from Austria, 3 from Germany and 1 from Singapore.
The 10 best projects were invited to a coaching session on 15-16 September in Vienna, a two day intensive workshop. On October 20-21 an international jury selected the winners who were awarded the prizes on October 21 during the final award ceremony.

1st prize (€15,000): AyoxxA
The young biotech company Ayoxxa from Singapore was rewarded with the first prize (€15,000). The team around Dr. Andreas Schmidt commercialize a platform that enables the simultaneous measurement of multiple proteins as well as other biomolecular analytes from a single minute volume sample.

AyoxxA - winner of the 1st prize
2nd Prize (€10.000): Xiber Science
The second prize (€10,000) was awarded to the Viennese company Xiber Science set up by Sonja Reingruber and Peter Petzelbauer. The spinoff of the Medical University Vienna develops new peptides to reduce mortality and morbidity of critical care patients.

Xiber Science - Winner of the 2nd prize
3rd Prize (€5.000): Blueline 3D
The Jury gave the thir prize to the team of Jürgen Jesenko and Horst Koinig. The Carinthian dental care company Blueline 3D develops and distributes an intraoral 3D scanner, which digitalises dental impressions and leads to accurate dental replacements. Blueline is supported by the Carinthian AplusB centre build!

LISA VR Medtech Award (€10,000): Blueline 3D
Blueline 3D also prevailed against outstanding competitors from the medical devices industry and was furthermore awarded with the LISA VR Medtech Award.
